I used to be an admin on an old server called Hoopla that is no longer accessible, nor would I want to access it. But one of their best ideas were two ranks called Trusted and Respected. Both ranks had the same powers, the difference being that Respected was able to access member classes (aka member trusted). These ranks had the following abilities to help take care of minging players in SPECIFIC CIRCUMSTANCES.
!voteban for up to 60 minutes, only allowed to do so for Mass RDM, Mass RA, or Mass Prop minge.
!votekick, similar permissions but on a smaller scale. Not to be used unless they are refusing to stop.
These two permissions would allow players to police themselves significantly better. The application format for Trusted/Respected would likely be something like this-
Username:
SteamID:
Why you want to be Trusted:
Staff Recommendations (not required but helpful):
Hours in game: (24 hours minimum)
Prior Moderating Experience: (not necessary)
Another possible suggestion is the requirement of having trusted or respected ranks before becoming staff. Please give your feedback and thoughts, everything helps!
